Location:Palm Beach Parklands, Gold Coast
The Setup:Lui, Evelyn, James and I went to see Bob - Grandfather and great-grandfather. Lui researched on ye olde internet and found this place at Palm Beach that was well regarded for food and being child-friendly. I already remember the place as being a great location, but there have been some improvements since I last visited (the cafe being one).
The camera & lens:Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Exposure: 1/4000" @ f/25/10, ISO 100
Lightroom - I started by setting the exposure to +2, blowing it out, and cropping out a lot of the sand. I set fill light +15 and blacks +20 (which brought out the colours in her shirt), but going any further with those two settings would have ended up with bad skin tones. Final adjustments done using curves - darks +60 and shadows -75.
The wash-up:Since I was just chasing her about with the camera, it was just luck of the draw.
