Location:

Russell and Pat's house, Alexandra Hills

The Setup:

BBQ at Russell and Patti's place, and I was practicing using Russell's camera as a second body for shooting his wedding the following week. Ally is a little bit older than Evelyn, and they ran all over the yard together.

The camera & lens:

Camera: E-410
@ 40/1mm
Exposure: 1/125" @ f/45/10, ISO 400

Post processing:

  Lightroom 4 -

1. Presence: Highlights +25, shadows -20, whites +25, blacks -15
2. I tried to use The GIMP -> Resynthesiser to remove the table in the bottom left, but I wasn't able to make it work how I wanted it. The documentation is a bit lacking (non-existant), but I'll try to look up some internet "forums" and "bulletin boards" to see if there is anything else I can do.

The wash-up:

Not bad for a snapshot. Caught a bit of the table on the lower left, and I can't do a thing to get rid of it.

All constructive criticism is welcome! Please let me know what you think, and what you don't like about the picture. Everything is on the table, including the setup, equipment used, and the post processing. Nothing is off-limits and I'm always eager to learn!
