General location: Australia, South-East Queensland
The Setup:This is for get-pushed-38 challenge from @boltonboy: Take a photo of food in some creative way.
This is a koala eating a meat pie. I tried to use hyperfocal focusing (small aperture, focus approx in the middle of the two objects, hoping both will be in focus), but it started to rain so I didn't get to fine-tune it. I also could have used the iPhone for its greater depth of field, but there is no control over the aperture on that thing.
The camera & lens:Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 15mm
Exposure: 1/40" @ f/18, ISO 800 (0/1)
Lightroom 4 -
- Crop right down
- Contrast +40, highlights -40, shadows +85, black clipping -75
- Noise reduction: Luminance +50, detail +100
The wash-up:The focus is not sharp on this, probably due to manual focus and using a very small aperture (diffraction would have set in)
