The Setup:

A group of people relaxing in Post Office Square, Brisbane. The council have put out deck chairs for the general public - first in, best rested.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM @ 130mm
Filters: Polariser
Exposure: 1/250" @ f/7.1, ISO 400 (0/1)

Post processing:

Lightroom 5 -

  1. Convert to B&W (with auto channel mixing)
  2. Presence: Highlights -50, shadows +60, black clipping -20, clarity +25
  3. Curves: Lights +60, darks +15
  4. Auto upright perspective correction

    Like an underpopulated Occupy event 😉 Nice in B&W but I can't help but think the colour would have added to the sub-tropical appeal of the scene.
