The Setup:

A butterfly visiting a flower.

While shooting an abstract macro, I couldn't resist shooting a non-abstract macro.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 21mm
Filters: 0.42x fisheye filter (macro mode)
Exposure: 1/30" @ f/16, ISO 250 (0/1)

Post processing:

Lightroom 4 -

  1. Presence: clarity +25
  2. Spot adjustment on the butterfly: exposure +1 stop, clarity +100
  3. Spot adjustment on the proboscis: clarity +100
  4. Crop square
