QUT Gardens Point
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

QUT are destroying a building. I ran past one day and took a photo with my phone. Came back two days later on the bike with a backpack full of cameras and lenses.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
ISO 400 (1) 15-85 @ 15mm, 2) 75-300 @ 100mm)

Post processing:

I made the unusual (for me) decision to past the images together before doing any post processing. This lead to some interesting movements required later on. Photoshop Elements 6 (Mac)

  1. Pasted both photos onto a canvas, set background to black.
Lightroom 4 -
  1. Graduated filter from mid to right: clarity +100 (to add clarity to the right image only)
  2. Graduated filter from left middle to left: bottom: exposure +0.7 stops, highlights +25, shadows +20, clarity +25 (to lighten the bottom left hand of the left image)
