The Setup:

+Al Warren has tagged me in the Five Day Quest virus/pyramid scheme. Take one photo of whatever is going on in your life and post it.

I like to eat food, and this is what was going on today.

I tried a selfie at the markets, and brought the DSLR out of retirement to use its nice wide-angle lens. However I have re-discovered that it's a heavy bastard which makes selfies difficult.

+Andrew Chalk, I tag YOU to join in.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Sony RX100 II
Lens: Sony RX100M2 fixed lens 10.4-37.1mm f/1.8-4.9 (28-105mm equivalent) @ 10.4mm
Exposure: 1/800" @ f/1.8, ISO 3200 (0/10)

Post processing:

Lightroom 5 -

  1. Basic: Exposure +1.2 stops, saturation -75, highlights -25, shadows -65, white clipping +90, black clipping +75, clarity +40 (low contrast, low saturation, high key)
  2. Lens corrections: manual - distortion +100, vertical +30, lens vignetting -100 (to bend all of the lines on the roof, and change the aspect of the lower part of the image. I was aiming for a disorienting effect.)

What would you do?
