The Setup:

I don't know what this guy was looking at, there is a blank wall behind this stall.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 85mm
Exposure: 1/250" @ f/5.6, ISO 320 (Av, auto ISO)

Post processing:

Lightroom 4 -

  1. Preset: B&W Look 5, which uses desaturation to get a B&W image, with shadow levels -15, temp +60 and tint +25.
  2. Exposure +1.8 stops, shadows +10, black clipping -50
  3. Spot adjustment above the guy's head to remove a distracting thing in the background.

This is a bit of a cheap trick, but I did a posturise (really reduces the number of colours), then desaturate almost to nothing, and finally some vibrance. I have made it look like an early 90’s Sierra game in EGA.
