A lantern lighting up a paint-splattered wall

General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

This is an abandoned factory on the Sunshine Coast. Went there with urbex pals Al, Mick, David and Cameron.

Pictured here is my lantern lighting up a wall with paint splatters.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 15mm
Exposure: 1.6" @ f/3.5, ISO 400 (0/1)

Post processing:

Lightroom 5 -

  1. Auto perspective correction
  2. Profile correction for 15-85mm zoom
  3. Manual lens correction: distortion +20 (pincushion effect)
  4. Post-crop vignetting, highlight priority -15
  5. Presence: Highlights -70, shadows +75, white clipping +40, clarity +40
  6. Noise reduction: luminance +25

      Hi mate, it’s not my location to give out. However if you are on Google Plus, there are some local photographer groups that organise outings.

        Haha yeah I thought I might get that kinda answer. I’ve got locations that are very secretive, even places with no graffiti which is a rarity so I understand. Half the reward is being able to find them 🙂 Great shots btw!
