Queen Street Mall, Brisbane
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

This was a demonstration of some wildlife on the centre stage on the mall (I think it was QPWS). I caught the tail end of the presentation where everyone was asked to line up if they wanted to touch the snake.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 85mm
Exposure: 1/160" @ f/5.6, ISO 640 (Auto ISO, Av)

Post processing:

Lightroom 4 -

  1. Convert to B&W with auto colour mix
  2. Crop square
  3. Presence: Exposure +0.30 stops, clarity +25
  4. Curves: Highlights +30, lights +20, darks -25

The wash-up:

Happy with this for my first day out with new camera.
