Location:

Spring Hill, Brisbane
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

This is one of a few small, messy lots sandwiched between refurbished houses. I wonder how close to original this is.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 19mm
Exposure: 1/200" @ f/4, ISO 200 (0/1)

Post processing:

Lightroom 4 -

  1. Preset: B&W Look 5, which uses desaturation to get a B&W image, with shadow levels -15, temp +60 and tint +25.
  2. White clipping +25, black clipping -40
  3. Curves: Darks -55
  4. Graduated filter from mid left to bottom right, exposure +1 stop, shadows +100
  5. Crop

The Cosplay thing is Roma Street parklands near the cafe, 11Am – 4PM both days, no idea how many cosplayers will show up but they have an official photographer and anyone else is free to show up to take photos. I'm currently aiming for late Saturday morning to take my son in, then come back in by 5PM for the photowalk.

There you go, Shezza. Wanna carpool to Auchenflower then ride the rails to town? We can pretend to be hobos =]

+Alan Warren I am already going to be in the city (New Farm) for a picnic on Saturday.  That'll be wrapping up after lunch, then I'll have to call you to see where you are.  This will be Evelyn's first ride on a Citycat 🙂
