Ebbw Vale Station, Ipswich
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

Every morning I check for fog before leaving the house, which will decide which station I go to. I don't always go to Ebbw Vale station, but it is much better for capturing this picture. I took bracketed shots to ensure I had a good exposure for working with.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM @ 160mm
Exposure: 1/200" @ f/5, ISO 1600

Post processing:

Lightroom - ...

The wash-up:

I wanted the overhead powerlines to feature more prominently, but in the end I couldn't wrangle it.

Pixlr: water swirl (horizontal) and old photo filters. I love what this filter does to straight lines, and I was surprised at how the curved lines ended up.
