Central Station, Brisbane
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

I love seeing things growing where they shouldn't be. I had walked past this many times and had planned to take a snap "one day". Today, I had not had any ideas by home time, and I was walking with Joanne to the station and talking about cameras, so decided that today was the day to grab this shot. I don't think it's a fantastic photo but isn't too bad...

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM @ 125/1mm
Exposure: 1/60" @ f/45/10, ISO 400

Post processing:

Lightroom - I tried converting to B&W but the result wasn't fantastic. So I tried a desaturated look. I upped the red to drown it out (still not sure why), and added an adjustment layer to bring some saturation back to the fern. All topped off with a slight crop and a vignette.

What would you do?

wow looks really good – the desaturation really brings out the texture in the bricks.. like it
