Brisbane City
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

I spotted this while walking around and have gone back a few times to snap it. This is where people found information before the internet was around - a bank of phone books outside the RACQ office.

The camera & lens:

@ 77/20mm
Exposure: 1/17" @ f/28/10, ISO 125

Post processing:

Lightroom - I did the standard blacks adjustment (+20), and used a mild curve (lights +20, darks -10). Finally, I set the clarity to +100. This was all to try to make the scene as sharp, harsh and uninviting, like the dingey alley it is.

The wash-up:

I originally invisaged this picture with no people and some harsh lighting, but when I went by today, there were people. I would have taken a slightly more front-on angle, but there were people standing where I would have had to stand.
