The Setup:

Mark found some vouchers for a cheap golf day, so the four of us (Mark, Shawn, Simon and myself) went down during amateur hour and hacked up the place.

I had planned to use my mini tripod and cable release but when it came to actually getting shots, it was a case of jump in there, snap, get away before I got clobbered.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II @ 18mm
Filters: 0.42x fisheye filter (fisheye mode)
Exposure: 1/500" @ f/13, ISO 400

Post processing:

Lightroom - I didn't do very many adjustments - the curve adjustment only worked on the dark parts (darks -20 and shadows -20) and a touch of fill light (+10) to lighten the ball and Mark's shirt. I thought today was as good a day as any to try to de-fisheye a picture, so I started mucking around with the manual lens corrections. I didn't get the golf ball quite in proportion but close enough. Next thing to do is get the Adobe lens profile program thingy and save these settings so I can more easily do this in future.

The wash-up:

Getting late in the day and using the fisheye: there was no way my shadow would not be in that picture. This wasn't really set up but it could have done with some setting up.

What would you do?
