General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

Oh foggy morning! I parked up on Brisbane Road and snapped the passing traffic. This was inspired by a photo I took a couple of years ago of roughly the same thing - though that time, the resulting image had some interesting aspects, but on the whole didn't look good.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
@ 75/1mm
Exposure: 1/500" @ f/9/1, ISO 1600

Post processing:

Lightroom - I set a curve that was highlights +100 and lights +100, darks -100 and shadows -100 - to boost contrast. I did some selective colour highlighting, by subtracting all green, aqua and blue from the photo. This left the red of the tail lights, and a little bit of other colours that mostly mix in to the grey. Finished off with blacks at 20, clarity +50, noise reduction at 50 and a slight bit of vignetting.

The wash-up:

I was going to walk to the station but was running late, so I drove. I probably could have gotten a better shot on foot.
