The Setup:

A new garden outside the refurbished pub down the road attracts dewdrops and is a pleasure to see on the days I can drag myself past the car and up to the train station on foot.

Post processing:

Lightroom - To start with, I spent a fair bit of time trying to find the right crop for this. I decided that including the reeds on the left added a bit to the photo rather than distracted. The curves adjustment had highlights +10, lights +55, darks -10 and shadows -55. Fill light +5, recovery +100 and clarity +100 to try to darken the background while highlighting the edges of the reeds. I used a bit of luminance noise reduction (+15) - any more and too much detail was wiped out. Final edit: Green Luminance +100, which applied itself only to the reeds and left the rid of the picture alone.

The wash-up:

The last time I did this shot, there were a lot more water drops. I thought the conditions would be quite right for lots of drops today but it was fairly dry. Still got my shot though, just not the one I had set out to get. With this picture, I think the sun flare was not as clear as I would have hoped.

What would you do?
