Location:

Movieworld, Gold Coast
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

These baby deer were part of the White Christmas presentation at Movieworld (for the kids, of course).

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX-DC @ 30/1mm
Exposure: 1/30" @ f/25/10, ISO 1600

Post processing:

Lightroom -

  1. Custom white balance chosen from the white t-shirt. This warmed up the image a lot.
  2. Curves: lights +30, darks -15
  3. Exposure +0.6 stops, clarity +35
  4. Noise reduction: luminance +30, detail +100. Sharpening +50 (the shot is not quite in focus, this is my poor attempt to recover from that)

The wash-up:

A photo of Evelyn playing in the water park section of the kids area. She enjoyed it but was very cold (the sun had gone down and there was a breeze, poor little tot). This one to the Evelyn gallery.
