The Setup:

A close-up of a python - not through glass! This is just a model though, vertical on a wall. This was a demonstration of how a few steps (and crouch) can completely change an image.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 35mm
Exposure: 1/50" @ f/4.5, ISO 1600 (0/3)

Post processing:

Lightroom 4 -

  1. Crop
  2. Presence: Exposure +0.6 stops, highlights +15, shadows -100, whites +40, blacks -60, clarity +50.
