A trashed and graffitied workbench, lit by different coloured gels.

Seven Hills TAFE, Brisbane
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland

The Setup:

This is a painting table that I was going to use to set off a sparkler bomb, until Alan and I both realised that we didn't have a lighter or matches. Next time!

Alan set up lights in various points around the place to light up the scene.

The camera & lens:

Camera: Canon EOS 650D
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 15mm
Exposure: 62" @ f/8, ISO 400 (0/1)

Post processing:

Lightroom 4 -

  1. Presence: Highlights -5, shadows +100, white clipping +45, black clipping +15, clarity +60
  2. Noise reduction: Luminance +30
  3. ACR lens correction profile for EF-S 15-85mm
  4. ACR lens correction (manual): vertical +9, rotate +0.6 (to correct perspective so the wall in the right 3rd of the frame is straight)
  5. Crop

LOL we've got an arrangement with the caretaker and sparkler bombs are cool 🙂 As long as we we're doing it for art, all is good =]
