Location:Seven Hills, Qld
General location: Australia, South-East Queensland
The Setup:Spent an afternoon and evening at the abandoned TAFE. Al did a steel-wool burn in the ceramics block. I accidentally left my camera on the wrong settings and this shot was overexposed. Al did another one for my benefit, but the first one actually turned out better. In addition to the burn, there was a flash of blue light from the right of frame.
The camera & lens:Camera: Canon EOS 400D DIGITAL
Lens: Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 USM IS @ 15mm
Exposure: 108/1" @ f/9.0, ISO 3200 (0/3)
Lightroom 4 -
- Exposure -2.85 stops
- Curves: Lights +75
- Colour temperature -620 (towards blue)
- Noise reduction: Luminance +30
The wash-up:Clearly, choosing the right ISO would have been a good thing. Otherwise composition, etc, I'm happy with it.
